Yep, there were dues on everything. My hubby remembers his VLKSM "booklet" with those stamps that the collector signed by hand for everyone 😅

The union due stamps are very interesting, I like seeing the stamps in GDR / USSR passports of the time also. Being a stamp collector of SSR and warsaw pact areas, it's very nice to see these items still legible and not destroyed.

I'm surprised to see that it was bilingual Ukrainian-Russian. I would have assumed that at that time and for something like this it would only be in Russian.

Makes you wonder why a labour union would be needed in a 'workers state'. Surely even the politicians would see the fallacy in such an institution existing in the USSR. Seeing as there were little benefits how voluntary was being a member? Also how much of her salary was taken by the 'dues'?

Sergei can you explain why Russia is going after Ukraine ??? I do not understand why all this is happening what is the motive behind it all it looks like they are going to invade and I just don’t understand the reasoning here and figured you would be the one to ask !
