In 2021, I gave my first tech conference talk, TechDocs: Unlocking the Potential of Engineers' Collective Knowledge at KubeCon/Cloud Native Con. A talk that introduced Backstage and its core features and how it contributes to engineers collective knowledge. This time I’ll follow up with a ⚡ Lightning Talk at BackstageCon, where I’ll dive deeper into how we identified and resolved 100+ accessibility issues across our Backstage plugins, continuing to unlock the potential of all engineers' collective knowledge. It will also walk you through why we decided to write a guide, so that anyone can identify accessibility issues already in the development phase and thereby continue to improve the developer experience for all engineers.
