Sea-Doo threw the entirety of its parts and accessories department at the top-of-the-line 2025 Fish Pro Apex 300. We could hardly spend any time running at wide open as we were too busy messing with everything else this $24,500 machine has. Watch the review HERE:

Great ski, hefty price tag, the only thing missing is the new 10.25" screen. Can't believe that wasn't included.

I was impressed that you didn't make any negative comments regarding the wind screen. Great review!

Very nice! For a high-end fishing kayak, some are now approaching and/or exceeding $10, 000 when all decked out and customized. I suppose I'd dial this watercraft in as somewhere sandwiched between such a kayak and a dedicated smaller fishing boat. I can think of several fishing scenarios and targets where this'd be a better option than either the high end kayak or a small boat. I live in Galveston and this SeaDoo would be great for running out to the off-shore oil platforms, fishing around San Luis Pass, and the bays.

Review didn’t touch on any of the shortcomings of my FPT 170.

-Live well intake near exhaust kills everything in the livewell.
-Factory dual battery doesn’t have adequate cold crank amps.
-Separate accessories battery for Garmin
-No limp home mode cause sensors or indicator (i.e. battery, oil level, engine temp, clogged intake)
-Need trolling motor

I've used that same type of folding ⚓️ anchor for years, works great!!

It's a nice toy without any doubt. But as a fishing jet sky, make more sense the engine with 170hp in my opinion, and the trolling motor is mandatory for a serious fishing.

I’ll be on the lookout for this on my stretch of the Tennessee

That windscreen looks like it's off a 80's motorcycle 😂 2:28

Not my type of ski, but saying that it’s very impressive. That steering angle/hight and damper is 👌

It needs a spot lock trolling motor. When they do that, I’ll trade my 24 EP 230 that I fitted as a fish pro. I love my doo. I fitted it for the deep ocean.

Big miss on this ski for a few reasons:
1. Pricing is outrageous. This is for Gen X / Boomers. Next generation will struggle trying to afford / appreciate this.
2. To constitute the price, it needs a small hinged trolling motor that can "stow away" and be removed, much like the switch fish. ANY fisherman knows this is necessary for serious fishing.
3. This needs to be a swiss army knife. If they are trying to market this outrageously priced machine, it needs way more accessories up front. We're missing the trolling motor (mentioned above), stow away net (throw net), larger fuel tank / double tank for long trips, clip on accessories for the front bar, linq connectors for the FRONT, rocket launcher tower, etc etc.
4. If this is a low production machine, all of this makes sense because it's simple marketing. Very few pro fisherman is going to use this, as they are already sponsored by their respective boat manufacturers. Sea Doo will have to put some huge money forward for anybody with a name.
5. A limited production run means less availability, which means less water-envy. A huge selling point for a lot of people is actually seeing these out in the world. The reason why something like the Sea Doo Spark was so popular, is because it had such a huge manufacturing run. My first sight on one was actually on the water and I went "what the hell was that?!" The idea is to attract non die-hards like us, just regular folk on the water going "What on earth is that thing?" Believe it or not, I was not an enthusiast of new skis until 2016. Water-envy got me looking at the new stuff, which is where I found The Watercraft Journal.
6. "Neck snapping" looks. Now the switch - that had people snapping necks. This REALLY needs to pop. It just looks like a highly equip larger ski. Sea doo, of all manufacturers really needed to nail the look of this... it looks like a boring ski in comparison to others.

I could rant for days here, but these are my educated gripes with the Apex. Glad you got on one - we know how much you love the Explorer 🤣🤣

Nice review on this rig, not sure if this rig includes a place to mount a big sunbrella, because that sun can beat you down quickly while fishing or eating or just relaxing.

I'm getting ready to retire here in San Diego California and was considering the Apex, but I've decided on the fishpro Trophy. 40-50mph on the trophy is plenty to get me where I need to go inshore around La Jolla, or fishing in mission bay, and the Apex is not only thirsty, it needs 91 octane fuel. I am looking to see what model variations they might have next year. I want to get the Switch Fish as well and I'm waiting for some reviews on that too. :)

Hopefully the success of the explorer and fish pro models will allow seadoo to justify designing a new hull for the GTX and RXT as they would still be selling plenty of ST3 hulls to continue diffusing the development and mold costs across. The ST3 is great for the pro models but was a step backwards for the GTX and RXT where static stability and a dry ride are less important than sea keeping behaviors particularly in chop.

If I were into fishing, this seems like a pretty nice setup. I don't even think the value is terrible but I do think people are struggling to afford to buy anything like this right now.

For the same money, might as well get the Sea-Doo Switch. It offers much more room and exceptional comfort

Supercharge is a no-no for fishing, especially trolling.
