Jenny of Oldstones is a fictional character in the a Song of Ice and Fire universe by George R.R. Martin. She was a commoner from the Riverlands and married to Duncan Targaryen, who broke a political engagement to a Baratheon daughter and cast aside his crown for Jenny with flowers in her hair. Prince Duncan was killed in the tragedy at Summerhall decades before the events of Game of thrones. According to Jennys song, Jenny of Oldstone continued to dance with her ghosts in the hall of kings and found no peace of mind.

"Jennys song" is featured in the second episode in season 8 of the TV-series Game of thrones. The story of Jenny of Oldstones and her beloved prince Duncan Targaryen bears many resemblances to the events in Game of thrones, which might be why the showrunners included it right before the battle against the army of dead and when Jon Snow revealed his true heritage to Daenerys. According to a theory the song was written by prince Rhaegar Targaeryen who frequently visited the ruins of Harrenhall with his harp. The song bears not only a thematic but also a direct link to the current events of A song of ice and fire/Game of thrones TV-series since the song Rhaegar sung and played at the tourney at Harrenhall is believed to be Jenny of Oldstones. This could be the song that made Lyanna Stark fall in love with him. Hence the melodic and visual house Stark-references towards the end of the song.

A quote by ser Barristan Selmy: “The Prince of Dragonflies loved Jenny of Oldstones so much he cast aside a crown, and Westeros paid the bride price in corpses”.

Lyrics:

High in the halls of the kings who are gone
Jenny would dance with her ghosts
The ones she had lost and the ones she had found
And the ones who had loved her the most

The ones who'd been gone for so very long
She couldn't remember their names
They spun her around on the damp old stones
Spun away all her sorrow and pain

And she never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave
Never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave

They danced through the day
And into the night through the snow that swept through the hall
From winter to summer then winter again
Til the walls did crumble and fall

And she never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave
Never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave
And she never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave
Never wanted to leave, never wanted to leave

Wonderful video, well planned, well shot, well edited. I only wish you would have been able to use some sort of steadycam for the moving shots. There are several on the market now, not all that expensive anymore. Another way is to edit the camera movements (walking bobbing up and down) in post production. But overall, fantastic!
