One of the most busy routes from Mumbai. More than 200 private buses run on this route. Ashoka Travels is one of the most popular buses on this route. Often one of the earliest buses to reach its destination. My bus was a BS6 AC sleeper bus. Built by Veera on Ashok Leyland chassis, this bus is the latest V8 model bus from Veera. The bus is also equipped with Air Suspension, so that the journey is a smooth & comfortable one. Infact, I was in the last berth but didn't feel any jerks.

My bus starts from Wadi Bunder at 9 pm and is scheduled to reach Sion Chunabhatti at 10 pm. The bus came 15 mins early.

The bus journey from Mumbai to Kolhapur typically takes around 8 to 10 hours, depending on the traffic and the specific route taken by the bus. The distance between Mumbai and Kolhapur is approximately 375 kilometers via NH48. Several private bus operators as well as state transport buses operate on this route, offering different types of buses such as air-conditioned, non-air-conditioned, sleeper, and semi-sleeper coaches. It is advisable to book your tickets in advance, especially during peak travel seasons, to ensure a comfortable journey. Our bus overtook many buses along the way. Had a good chase with Ashoka V8 bus heading to Sangli. The bus halted whenever the passengers requested for loo breaks. The first driver Aamir drove till 5 am as he was fasting. We reached last stop, Kolhapur City Bus Stand by 6:45 am. Good timing was maintained by the crew.

General question to all spec gurus, drivers and the boss himself, the ac unit would consume 20-30 hp of that max output of 200hp i guess, so that way the ordinary, non ac bs6 leyland buses deliver better performance comparer to these ac buses? I know a silly thing discuss😊
