Yo this worked! Also: if the little pin of the microswitch fell out (happened to me). You can take the microswitch apart, put the pin back in, install it and it will work. Worked for me!

In my z4 just that metal click part com out from micro switch I fixed in few mints and is all working as it should be.

Do you need to remove the tray to get the micro switch out? I wanna connect the wires together because my microswitch lost the metal hook

Ccn you tell me how and what did you splice? Did you do a mid splice to connect blue/black together ? Not sure what to spice as there still needs a connection to the car side. Thanks

I’m an idiot. How do I pull the connector apart? Mine is very tight and I don’t see a release tab on either clip.

When you splice are the wires supposed to all go together? Or blue to blue and black to black?

Dont cut the cable just push a pin through the 2 wires to make a connection
