- Ketorolac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID). It works as an analgesic that decreases inflammation, pain, and fever, through inhibition of cyclooxygenase activity and prostaglandin synthesis.

This eye drop gave me serious insomnia. After taking it for 2 weeks after a vitrectomy it kept me up for 36 hours straight before I passed out. Stopped taking then my Dr. got mad at me so he gave me more, after 5 days the following month it kept me up for 37 hours and that was it for me. Never again. It didn't work for my eye mild pain anyway, I still had to take an Advil so what's the point it. Ban it! Stop after 5 days if it is prescribed to you, it says it on the bottle not to take for more than 5 days.
