In this video, I review the KiKiple Amplified HD Digital TV Antenna. It runs about $30 on Amazon and claims a 50 mile range. How well does it work compared to other indoor antennas?

As a former indoor antenna user I can honestly say don’t get one. If you want to actually enjoy you over the air tv expect to spend around $200 to $300 on a good setup minimum and binge watch this channel for what to get. I got the range xperts antenna with a channel master preamp and get over 80 channels. All chosen from the Antenna Man’s reviews. This channel is a godsend.

But Tyler, they tested it at 8am over flat terrain during a tropo duct, and locked a station 250 mi away for 5 seconds

Maybe the fine print talks about the helium balloon you will need to get the altitude to get the 250 mile range 😂😂😂

Did you hear about the 2 antenna's that got married? The ceremony was boring, but the reception was great! Ba-Rump-Bump! ;-)

When you said the word "Amazon" I knew the antenna was junk. However, this is one of the better junk antennas.

The Philips Classic rabbit ears antenna you have on the table behind you works great for me. I have 1 low vhf and 3 high vhf broadcasts in my area and it gets them all. $11.99 on Amazon.

Hey, Tyler! FYI - Regarding your recent video you did on ATSC 3.0. Cord Cutters News by Luke did a video this morning (I watched it this morning) mentioned the possible demise of it.

Right, plus if your house is in a low area, or around deep woods (above trees etc).

I watched this one just to see how the name was pronounced. Great job Tyler!

To improve the low end VHF (3.XX) channels just use aluminum foil! Simple fold up a 2 inch strip of about 6 ply and about the length of the width of the flat antenna. While watching the signal level signal from the TV just slide the aluminum foil from the bottom of the flat antenna toward the top. You fill find a sweet spot by watching the TV’s signal level rise and then firmly tape the foil at that sweet spot. My antenna signal on the low end of the spectrum went from 0 bars to 6 bars on a graft of 10. Good luck.

My man Tyler, please do your side to side head bob and Bla Bla Bla on every video as your signature. 😅 It was glorious.

I couldn’t receive channel 44 (METV) with a small RCA indoor passive antenna.
So I bought a “Pro HD Antenna” made by GE at Walmart. It is a hybrid log periodic dipole array combinened with dipole. It sits on a mic stand on my kitchen table in my apartment 2nd floor. I have a cheap amplifier installed. The antenna works well at UHF, and I get METV now. But, it doesn’t work very well at VHF. The elements are not long enough for VHF. It’s okay for now because my goal was to get METV with an antenna instead of paying for a streaming service.
