I myself, as an artist, have never refused to accept a gift from anyone who is giving me that it should be diamonds or gold.That i was too good for a gift, and remember the day that a fine lady was so smiles when she saw me wearing the glass beads she made and gave to me
That was a smile i will invite and never forget.
To this day those glass beads mean more to me than any gold chain or diamond rings other than my wedding band.
It was what was put in 😮the work and thoughts of the artist that was the giver and not a taker.
That is still more valuable than gold, well at least to me
