If China shows it to the public, you can be certain it is tested, functional, and commissioned/deployed. China doesn't do the USSR-style chest-thumping. And given this is a trade show, I'd bet China is hiding the better version or the next generation of this.

It is insulting to say that HQ-19 are comparable to the Thaad systems. Probably you aren't aware that the Thaad systems, Iron Dome and the US ship based systems failed handsomely against Iranian missiles. To add further injury, Israel and US missiles exploded as beautiful fireworks in the night sky since most of them have been intercepted by Iranian defences. Like the latest Chinese advanced anti-stealth radar systems that should made the US B-21 stealth bombers obsolete in their debut in 2030, the H-19 should made US hypersonic missiles obsolete should the US able to field them in the near future.

It's actually more capable than THAAD as it has longer range and can intercept HGV which THAAD can't.

HQ-19 can intercept hypersonic glide vehicles (HGV warheads), THAAD can't.
THAAD-ER supposedly also can, but the problem is it doesn't exist yet.

there's another possibility for this - long-range surface-to-air missiles could do a lot of havoc to america's refueling and AWACS fleet. Wasn't there a paper about developing a long range missile for this purpose? Suddenly a lot air force tanker pilots feel very naked.
