The Bhartiya Janata Party has put an end to all the speculation as far as the power battle in Karnataka was concerned. After Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa hinted at his exit, speculations over next CM grew and BS Yediyurappa's close aide Basavaraj Bommai was announced as the next CM of the state. While speaking to TIMES NETWORK, Karnataka’s new Chief Minister Designate Basavaraj Bommai said that his primary focus will be tackling the Karnataka floods and COVID19 preparation in the state. He also added that the government will ensure in fulfilling all the budget promises and he is currently looking into the finances of the state. He also added that the government will work on the administrative front. While Congress has slammed the Bhartiya Janata Party and called it a musical chair, the Bhartiya Janata Party has hit back, stating that the party comes first and not the post.
