Ayn Rand is a philosophical lightweight, Kant wasn't anti-reason.

She hasn't read or studied Kant outside of the appearance of the title on her bookshelf. Kant was never against reason; he was ultra FOR it. His book, Critique of Pure Reason, isn’t about critiquing pure reason thus laying the foundation for stricter empirical philosophies. Not at all. Kant was an idealist. Critique, in Kants sense, means boundary. The boundary of what we can know with a priori knowledge. If anything, Kants weakness was that he overly relied on reason to obtain conclusions. The exact polar opposite of what Ayn Rand is saying here.

What an absolute fucking goofball. The idea that Kant is more of a mystic than Aristotle…my lord.

Is her problem that Kant moved away from radical rationalism towards a semi-empirist position that still values reason highly?
Why is she not criticizing the empirists then?
What does she mean by reason exactly?

This idea of oblivion as philosophical absurdity by denying certainty through emphasis on interpretive bias as a disqualifier of truth & reason of experience, has created a perpetual obsession with validity as a exploitation of culturally indoctrinated emotional bias. Meaning (😂 can't believe i have to explain🤭😛): social role based expectations for individuals of specific demographic detail, those cultural requirements, are manipulated for usurpation with farcical moral impunity. Ha ha; meaning: people control others with superimposed philosophical behavioral correctness that makes asses out of grow ass adult people. Sorta like shaming founded on ideological training... But really. Lol, so cool

OK, because of this short and because someone is speaking with confidence mentioning Aristotle i will regret all my Kant studies regarding the beauty and sublime, but also all the critic of human knowledge ; ) As if Aristotle were not in Kant.

Some of Kant's basic concepts such as the categorical imperative are based on reason. Could you expound on which parts of Kant's philosophy moves society towards mysticism like this man is stating?

Ayn Rand was incredible at the act of cutting complex ideas down to their most fundamental and essential issues. SHE has taught me how to think more effectively just as ARISTOTLE taught men how to think about thinking. The achievements of Ayn Rand as a writer and a philosopher is a testimemont to the efficacy of reason, to the glory of human potential, to the creative spirit of Man, for the recognition that the evil can never fully triumph over the good, that there is always hope for the future as long as there are mem (and women) who are willing to think.
