When we lived in the U.S., in the 1960's, I remember my parents stopped to see this. Buffalo Bill was a global phenomenon back in the day. Nice video with some good background history, Rhetty.

I'm always shocked to hear about famous people in the past whose bodies have been moved after death or their true gravesites are unknown. It's weird how after you die you have no control over what others do with your remains. You did a great job of telling his life story!

Thank you for the Video. I have been to Scouts Rest, Bills Home in North Platte, Nebraska . There was a Small Herd of Buffalo over by the Arena, we changed the oil in the Truck there . I did not have time to look around . This Morning after Coffee I did do a quick look for Kit Carson Cody and his Sisters . Range 2 lot 215 is the info that I had, but Snow made it tough . From 1873-1878 The Cody Family lived in Rochester, He developed his travelling Show here . In 1876 Kit Carson Cody age 5 died of scarlet Fever and is Buried in Mt Hope Cemetery . Johnny Baker is also Buried in another Section of the Cemetery . I have to Return to Find Kit Carson Cody and his Sisters Orra Maude and Arta Cody Thorp .

Rhett, I really enjoyed this fascinating story about, "Buffalo Bill, " and where is he truly buried. He was as interesting in death, as he was in life, apparently. Loved your great investigating, presentation and photos, too. I always look forward to your Old West videos because I'm forever learning something new. I appreciated his stance on the Native Americans and the buffaloes, about their importance too. Have a fantastic weekend. Take care 🐎

While I was doing my tech school training at now-defunct Lowry Air Force base in Colorado, some of my fellow airmen and I went to see Bill's grave; the site is beautiful and a suitable resting place for Cody. R.I.P. Buffalo Bill...

Hey Rhett, this is a great tale of Bill Cody. I did not know about Cedar Mountain in Wyoming.
Fascinating story. Like the man himself.
Thanks, my friend!

Quite the historical fugue, Mr Buffalo Bill was and still is. I remember visiting this grave site sometime in the '70's, while on vacation with my parents. Only after to hear, it wasn't the right spot. I'd still like to think it really is and the rest is a great story to keep Buffalo Bill's memory alive. I would hate to think his death was a "loss". Thank you for doing you're part for the keeping alive the memories of America's history.

Rhett, I sure wanted to watch this one and see what you might have uncovered. One of my favorite towns is Cody, Wyoming and I've always wondered why he was not buried there. Yes, I've heard the yarns but I want to know the truth. I may never get it. If you haven't been to Cody, I highly recommend it. Staying at the Irma Hotel (named after Cody's daughter) and visiting the Cody Museum is absolutely the best. There are artifacts there you will find no where else. I need to stop at his grave next time I'm in Denver and pay my respects.

Very cool Rhett!
I always wondered if some of the wagons and other things at Pawnee Bills was from Buffalo Bills show.
I really enjoyed this,
