Talking about textures, I always thought you shouldn’t mix textures, but I’m happy to hear that is going to be big this Fall. I actually like the look of mixing the textures..

If you’re not ready to wear men’s ties in the slouchy way seen on some runways but like the silhouette, you can get the same effect with an oblong silk scarf.

I like all these looks, except the big bows. I might be ok with small bows, but would feel uncomfortable and too conspicuous with a large bow on my chest. Love the look of mixing textures. ❤

If you want to try a tie with your suit, thrift shops often have 100 percent silk ties for very little money (mine are 1euro each) and you can also wear them as a belt. Cheers!

This video made me laugh as I appear to be a 50+ trend setter with my wardrobe of sporty clothes, a bomber jacket, faux leather trousers and skirt, a tailored maxi coat and texture mixing (something I have always done). It is interesting how some seasons the trends resonate with us more than others. A few weeks ago I saw a usually quite conservative dressing newsreader wearing a man’s tie tied in quite a slouchy way with a trouser suit - she looked amazing. On the subject of bows, have you seen the stunning Kate Spade bow ring in rose gold? Not long before that makes it into my wardrobe!

Fun video! My favorites are the mixing textures, leather, and the monochromatic looks although I do not care for suiting, fortunately I don't have to wear it LOL I always try to make summer last as long as possible so I do a lot of layering over my dresses and make good use out of my denim jackets.
