Really awesome new entry in the Launch series. Kershaw is stepping it up a bit. Great profile and blade geos. MagnaCut! Nice touch with that micarta spacer, too. Lots to like about this knife. Well done, Kershaw!

Great soapbox rant about Kershaw (and other USA makers) no longer offering USA-made manuals for under $100. They can do it. We gota make some noise to let 'em know!

Now this is something I would love to see more of from Kershaw, especially on their manual knives. If it's $150-$200 I think that's reasonable. I rather see that, than another $100 Kershaw in D2. This actually looks really good.

As long as they nailed the heat treat on the steel this once at its price point I could see it being very popular. Not a big fan of auto or assisted knives though so a manual version would be very cool. Thanks for the look see and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

I’m getting their OTF and this launch. So Sick happy to see Kershaw produce USA Models for a good price like this.

I bought one of these and had to return it because of the pocket clip not fitting over jeans material, a fantastic design ruined by a flawed clip. It's so simple to make the perfect clip too. Just make a short deep carry clip with recessed screws and a ramp tall enough to fit most pants. These companies treat the clip as an afterthought but it's one of the most important parts of the knife.

I have the launch 11 and 13, and I absolutely love them. I considered those two to be the best of the launch series, but this one might take the cake. I gotta have one of these for absolute sure!!

The finishes are awesome. Man I hope Kershaw came bring some manual folders even if they are $100-$120 it would still be great because they totally can make a quality manual folder 👍

What an exciting prospect. Really yearning to hear about their HRC/protocol. Much love, brother!

I just got mine today. I'm really happy with it, the back spacer looks really nice. Blade is sharp. My only nip pick about it is not having counter sunk screws, needs to be flush.
I went on MX gear and got a titanium clip.

A kizer begleiter 2 deep carry clip fits perfectly on this knife. Carries much better

Wow, I assumed this thing was coming out much later in the year; I have it preordered already.

I do hope that they end up doing a good heat treat with the Magnacut. It's a very new steel and all the companies are feeling out their ratio of time ($) to performance. At least I've been quite happy with Kershaw's heat treat on their CPM154 that all their other Launch series use, as well as their 20CV I have on my Lucha. Having a decent track record with PM steels can't be understated these days with so many Chinese companies utilizing them with middling to bad heat treats.

At least these autos, much like the Boker Kalashnikov's, you can remove the spring to change them into manual knives, unlike their torsion bar assisted knives. I agree, they still do need to offer some nice USA made knives, especially some that don't continue to rely on the ancient torsion bar assist. Especially since their ZT line slowly atrophies over time.

Just ordered one of these, been wanting to try magnacut steel

I'm seriously considering this as my first magnacut knife, even with the 60-62 hrc

We need more of this stuff from Kershaw

If they made some of their new 2023 cross bar lock knives in magnacut I'm sure they'd sell like crazy. Especially if they do a proper hrc and heat treat

So the Launch 8 dealer exclusive (dropping now or very soon) caught my attention. It popped like a protech and had a Damascus blade with a thin blade stock and a cool dagger shape that reminds me of the god father or god son from protech. It’s action sure appeared as definitely being on another level of action.

That is nice. Any made in USA Kershaw I own is excellent.
