The concept of an elevated station intrigues me! I must admit I did not see that coming.

Yes please!!

Hi Oscar, Love the video from Shildon, being a long standing (over 35 years) member of the HRCA I really appreciated the time you took to record the day. Maybe see you at Gaydon in October?

Oh - the joy of 0 gauge clockwork - nice to hear it was your highlight. LOADS of these lovely trains are available on popular auction sites and the common items are well priced, invariably reliable given their age, with a bit of TLC - great fun and a great community of collectors for the original Hornby 0 and Dublo as your film shows

Really enjoyable upload. Memories for me with Britannia & the tank loco running around & some of the older sets at the collectors show were really amazing. Many thanks.

Hello Oscar, bit later catching up this week, its good to see steady progress on the layout, the wiring is coming along nicely, it's incredible just how long it takes. That class 31 is running very nicely at the moment, isn't it amazing how a train can run around the layout a dozen times fine then for no reason it decides to leap off the rails, all part of the fun. Looks like you had a good day at the vintage show, wasn't that helix amazing and the engines coped with it very well. So many of them looked to be in amazing condition. All great to see, thanks for taking the time and trouble to film and show us. I'm about to get ready for my little job only two days a week but I enjoy it. See you next time, Eddy xxx

Hi Oscar. It’s Tuesday morning Oscar time this week due to a big golf tournament at the weekend. Thoroughly enjoyed this video. That show at Shildon was amazing. There is so much “antique “ Hornby/Triang model railway stuff that is in such excellent condition. I had no idea. Brilliant filming as always, will have to go back and pause to read the comments on screen, they disappeared to quickly for me to catch them. Thanks again for sharing. Really appreciate the time you take to do this. Roy.

Amazing show, really neat to see all the vintage Hornby O and Dublo. Have a little of the O in clockwork and some of the Hachette repros on my Lionel layout here in the States as I'm a fan of British models.

First class. Love it. Your Triang rubber tunnel on your layout brought back some happy memories when I was a small lad. My dad would stop the train in the tunnel and I was there wondering why it had not emerged. Triang and Hornby is just the best. Thank you for sharing your videos.

Lots to see and hear in this one. The early Hornby is always amazing to see, so shiny and colourful. The elevated section on your layout looks like it will be the best one yet with a station no less, looking forward to the steady progress. 😊

Loved the hornby acho layout they looked well detailed for their time, you know you 3D print your elevated supports if you decide to refit the catenary the sections over the mainline could have the clips built in, could that be done, another good video coffee and a bourbon bikkie and our Oscar
Cheers
Mark 😊😊

This layout is a perfect example, of actually enjoying a comprehensive DC analogue layout.. No modern track or 'fine' wheel standards to worry about.. It's just what model railways used to be all about in the 1960s.. (Although on a larger layout than most of us would have ever dreamed about)..
Oscar has made a few new switches and contemporary relays enhance the running to an outstanding level? Congratulations... Long may the FUN continue..

Morning Oscar,
Some superb vintage models, buildings and signage at Shildon, great footage.
Excellent progress on the elevated section and the idea of an elevated station is something to get excited about. Yet another one to add to the ‘Grand Day Out’ section 😀
ATB,
Gordon

Excellent footage at the Shildon show, Oscar; I love how you compose your shots. Don't the O gauge models make a fantastic din – Great stuff!
