Goodbye sun, hello thunder! In part 2 we watch the second, nighttime sortie of Ramstein Flag 2025, which started just after sunset around 2000z and continued till around 2300z.
Although the first daytime sortie from part 1 happened in beautiful warm spring weather (albeit a bit windy), during the night sortie we got reminded that we only just got out of winter, as temperatures plummeted to just above the freezing point.
But nothing deterred us from making this awesome black ops night footage, and we hope you enjoy the spectacle as much as we did!
In this video you can see take-offs and landings of F-35 Joint Strike Fighter from both the Royal Netherlands Air Force as well as the United States Air Force, but also Royal Canadian CF-18 ( FA-18 ) Hornet, German Luftwaffe EF2000 Eurofighter Typhoon, French Armée de l'Air Dassault Rafale and Greek Hellenic Air Force F-16 Falcon.
DISCLAIMER: YouTube is known for being absolutely awful at compressing dark footage. I color-corrected all the footage to be a bit brighter than I would've liked, but I hope this helps YouTube make a bit more sense of the darkness during compression.
NONETHELESS, we do recommend that you watch this footage on a bright screen and in a darkened setting, for the best viewing results.
