I feel like this actress plays the younger version of every main character ever.

And this was the moment we all knew that Charming was going to be the extremely protective father 😂

This is when you remember that Snow was raised to see to the needs of the entire Kingdom before herself, while David only had to worry about himself and his mother.

This is probably the most saddest scene of the show

Also if they had raised emma she would never have had Henry.

Fate works in mysterious ways...

If Emma had looked right at them, they wouldn't have been able to walk away

If this was Regina and Henry 😅 Regina would have stormed right in and grabbed her son without a second thought 😂

There's something extremely sad about Charming saying: "Our daughter is right there!" She's within their grasp and yet they can't reach her. It was Charming's line that brought me to tears.

Snow and Charming deserved to raise their child😰

At that sence we all knew that Emma would have been more of a daddy's girl then she already is

This is why it sucks to have heroes as parents they’ll sacrifice you for the greater good.

Seriously Josh Dallas is a great actor, he almost made me cry several time in the show and this scene is so powerful

Getting the “heroes sacrifice you for everyone while the villain would sacrifice everyone for you” vibes.

it'S so beautiful to see how much David adores his daughter

People keep hating on Snow for making this decision but really, think about it, if you were rulers of a kingdom and you had the choice of ensuring your own happiness versus sacrificing it by waiting longer to get it so your people can be free and happy, would you really be able to live with yourself knowing you chose your own happiness while your people are left suffering? I think Snow made the right decision. Sure it caused Emma to grow up miserably but she had to think of her people and her friends. She believed Emma would have a happy childhood and grow up strong and happy. She couldn't have known Emma would have such a tough upbringing.

I'm just gonna throw out there that technically David could have gone through the door alone. Snow & Rumple would've went back under the curse & David eventually would've been presumed dead. Meanwhile David would be raising Emma by himself, making sure she wasn't alone and Emma would've grown up knowing the truth. Of course Henry probably wouldn't exist, which would change the story entirely, but clearly there was an alternative path.

I feel sorry for David. He wants his daughter back so badly and he can't have her at the cost of who she's going to be.

I loved this scene, especially the moment when Emma looks at the door. Perhaps there was a little bit of magic there in the Land Without Magic -- love, of course, being the most powerful magic of all. I like to think that Emma felt some comfort in that moment, even if she had no idea from whom or why. A whisper of her parents' love.

Ever since I started watching OUAT back during Season 2, the show has been kind of a hit and miss for me. But this moment was one of those where it was just perfect and heartbreakingly beautiful. I honestly wish the show had more of these scenes!

If The Charmings took Emma at that moment and raised her, wouldn’t there be other consequences. I mean what about the other characters storyline. All the changes that they went through? Regina wouldn’t be snows friend, rumple wouldn’t find redemption. Hook wouldn’t be with Emma, etc.
