Показать описание
The Royer R-10 delivers a beautifully balanced sound field with a flat frequency response and an impressive maximum SPL of 160dB at 1kHz, so you can close-mic loud sources without fear of overload. The R-10 is the choice for electric and acoustic guitars, brass, strings, drums, cymbals, piano, vocals, and more. Its figure-8 polar pattern also captures ambience beautifully, which makes it excellent for room miking.

Well, this video sold me the mic but unfortunately you guys are out of stock right now so I had to order it through reverb. Still love you guys though! I already have a cloudlifter so I’ll be using it with the R10 to get more headroom!

I have one of these, and it is great, but the ribbon gave out after about a year of heavy use on a loud amp. So they're not indestructible. Will be sending it back for that first free re-ribbon.

Run a ribbon mic through a ...
Cloudlifter!
You can then use the phantom power and also get a much better impedance match with your mic preamp.
Otherwise, you’re going to have to crank the gain and introduce noise. Works very well!

How do they sound in Blumlein on a grand piano? Or as drum overheads?

Am I the only one here who thinks this guy is David Spade's doppelgänger?

Integrated preamp or no? Phantom tolerance? These are fundamental questions re: ribbon mics, but I did not see them addressed.

I am looking for a couple ribbon mi's to add to my collection this Christmas. I have a few right now, and I need a couple more. I have always wanted a Royer. The look and vibe of them gives me chills. I am guessing this mic is not all show and no go. But, the bragging of the Grill. 1. Does this mic not need a pop filter? Or do you still recommend one. If so, fabric or metal? 2. Do you have a Freq. Chart for the back of the mic? 3. Where is this mic made? And if it is China, do you do any of the work to finish them in the US before going out for retail?
