In this third segment in our four-part series, we get a close-up look at how specialized craftspeople in the Schecter custom shop create intricate fretboard inlays and carefully install frets, watch as a finish expert applies a beautiful tobacco sunburst paint job, and observe the back-breaking, muscle-thrashing job of buffing finishes to a lustrous sheen.

Christina would be welcome working in my shop anytime. She seems organised, knowledgeable and enthusiastic with her work. She either loves the work and hasn't been ground down by the soul-crushing repetitiveness or is the right person for the job. I tip my hat to you. Good work.

Love craftsmanship. Nothing beats people taking pride in what they do....it comes through in the instrument too.

I'm really enjoying this series. I love how schecter goes about their business. I'm not a metal player by any means but I would definitely look into one for my next purchase.

I own a Schecter Omen - 6 (pretty much as cheap as they go) and it's outstanding.  And, having watched this tour right after their Gibson tour, I must say that Schecter runs a much more impressive operation.  Much more personal and hand-crafted than Gibson, though this is their custom shop I suppose.

Great video series! But man, the camera person needs to do a much better job on close ups.

got a Schecter Hellraiser Hybrid C-8 Electric Guitar, 8-String from zz and the Neck pickup volume is controlled by rear/back most pot, and the Bridge pickup is controlled by the front or forward volume pot. zz just sold it to me and said to bother Schecter, Schecter said it is supposed to be that way because people like the bridge pickup and want the volume up front to be handy. I don't buy it, (well I did, over eleven hundred), their story that is... any thoughts? {I figured they got in a lot/batch that had the pickups backwards and decided not to loose money rating them B-stock and chose to sell them with a lie, funny they did not mention the backwards electronics in their advertising, funny no mention of the control layouts elsewhere}. zz blew me off and I've bought 4 guitars in 40 days from them, Schecter made up an excuse and refused to fix the defect citing it is "Supposed to be that way", thus also blowing me off. That's alot of money for a defective product that neither the seller or manufacturer will fix, had it 3 weeks.

But does this paint breath tonally like a nitro? Probably not.  Id rather sacrifice paint durability for better tone from the wood
