The Team will be locked in. Josh Ross made a point today that they are playing for a BIG Title, which we have not won since 2004. So this game is special too and of course they know it. Go Blue Beat IOWA! Great break down Jake!

Jake is such a class act. Would of had a stupendous NFL career if he didn't tear his ACL a million times. Anyways just subscribed this is great content

One thing that is overlooked by majority of fans is how amazing Harbaugh and his offenssive staff has done with developing the ability and instilling a want for his receivers to block on the perimeter in the run game. Such an absolutely valuable aspect and ability that is 95% of the time forgotten about in football overall and Michigan's staff has consistently had receivers who are not only willing but seemingly love to block for their running backs. Last thing I'll add to this is how great the running backs themselves have been in regards to blitz pickups and chip blocking (Tru Wilson, Haskins, Corum, Edwards, Smith and even Charbonnet stand out) which has been a valuable part of the very solid to great pass protection during Harbaugh's tenure.

Very true comments Jake about JH giving away his bonus compared to other coaches chasing the money and dumping their team...

As usual, Jake with the pulse of the Michigan team, but more importantly letting us know behind the scene facts, Harbaugh and his bonuses, awesome!

I agree with Jake, who would be a better head coach for Michigan football? No one! And I'm glad those who made the decision to give Harbaugh the one more season to prove his value and he did it! Now, go to Indy and show it again!

Macnamara reminds me of Tom Brady. Not Brady of Michigan days, Brady managing and facilitating the offense at the level he has been doing his entire career. Cade Macnamara seems to be able to put the game in slow motion and make good decisions. No situation seems to big for him.

The game was all about the Michigan run game. Jake's analysis was a bit heavy on jargon for the casual fan, but still the best on the web in its focus on the intricate pulling and blocking schemes, and great physical skills, of the Blue's O-line. If it was easy to run the ball this way, lots of other teams would be doing it. OSU played great on offense, just as everyone predicted, but the passing game always carries with it the risk of sacks and holding penalties killing a couple of drives, or resulting in a couple of field goals, and the *ucks a tempo behind, and they were never going to catch up with Michigan averaging 7.2 yards per carry in a low-risk pounding run game. The *ucks would score, then watch a dark blue avalanche push all the way down the field into the end zone again and again and again. The defense did just enough to create those sacks and penalties. A big part of that was stopping the vaunted OSU run game and putting them in a lot of passing situations.

It was the realization that the *ucks could have scored on every possession, but never have caught up to Michigan, that made the game seem so one-sided when, for most of the second half, Michigan was merely 8 points in the lead after an OSU TD. Anybody watching the game had to realize and appreciate that Michigan would always respond with an answer that involved shoving a snowy football right down the throats of an overmatched *ucks defense and restore that 15-point lead while the game clock rushed towards 0:00.

I have to tell you, unfortunately I was working during the first half, but in the passenger seat of my work van, earbuds in, watching the game on my phone… I literally had to take some anti anxiety meds (legally prescribed) because of how through the roof my anxiety was during this game. After we held Ohio State to a field goal after the interception, a bit of it faded, and after the 3 and out we forced followed by the touchdown to open the 2nd half… I was certain we were going to win, but that somehow made it even worse. I got home just before halftime ended and I could not sit still the entire rest of the game. I haven’t stopped watching breakdowns and reactions and analyst takes on this game all week. It’s been all I can do to soak this in. I was luckily already a fan at age 10 when we won the championship in 97, but being an adult and seeing how this team… one that nobody thought would do anything after last year… hell some didn’t even think we’d make a bowl game (Although what do they know, they had Indiana ranked preseason… they’ll say Penix got hurt but he was awful when he wasn’t this year anyway)

#1. When did Roman Wilson become Hines Ward when it comes to blocking? Pancakes all day with that dude!

#2. Michigan’s RBs just don’t fumble.
