Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the First Conference of the International Science, Technology and Innovation Forum of Boao Forum for Asia, saying he hopes participants could pool their thoughts and collective wisdom in a way that could benefit people around the world, and China is willing to strengthen cooperation in science, technology and innovation with other countries and facilitate more open, inclusive and mutually-beneficial international exchanges in the area. The Boao Forum, also known as the "Asian Davos," is held every year in the island province of Hainan. It's hosting the science conference for the first time this year, aimed at promoting international exchanges and cooperation in scientific and technological innovation.

He's definitely not talking about US! I have never positively disagreed with the General Secretary before, and this is probably a misunderstanding. I think any actual Communist would know that improving productivity and efficiency overall MIGHT NOT benefit the general population! This has been a problem for over a hundred years. If we doubled the productivity in America instantly, we'd end up with a few million more unemployed people and a few more billionaires. People who are excited about computers and robots tend to ignore this fundamental aspect of non-socialist life! I have books written about this, from before I was born, maybe before my PARENTS were born! If new technology actually benefits people, that's a good sign, and is in fact revolutionary as advertised. Ah, I have a few of Xi Jinping's books here, but they are dense and long... and I've only read a very little bit of them. Maybe I'll try some more....
