But in the book of Ephesians, it is Him who has adopted us, not the other way around. It is Him who made us accepted in the beloved, and not us who accepted Him. We do not choose Jesus, but then Father in heaven who has chosen His people before the foundation of the world. Therefore, wisdom is from God, but it isn’t given to the world, but to those whom God reveals to, just like He revealed himself to Peter. Peter didn’t learn that from men, but from God, Himself.
