In my theology studies I brought this up to my professor, who is a Muslim from Palestine and a PhD academic, asking him how the Koran can claim to be completely from God, yet contain elements of Gnostic gospels written centuries before Mohammad. My teacher's response shocked me: he said that Islam accepts the existence of many prophets, so clearly the authors of those Gnostic texts were prophets and had written God's word, which He repeated to Mohammad so that it could be recorded. I couldn't believe it.

This guy has really done his homework. In particular the jewish sethians and also the ebionites who were ACs falsely claiming judas ( known as thadius or juda) was a twin who was the one really crucified. Among other heresies. 6:50 from what I understand Mohammad didn’t write the Quran as he was illiterate. Rather he dictated it to his apostles and they transcribed it by memory after he died.

If everything said was true, it might mean muslims have little excuse to not believe in Jesus other than just denying it. It also explains why alot of stories where young muslims have doubts but are set" straight" by teachers.

What I find funny about this is that you never go the most logical, and yet amazing, conclusion: Muhammad, somehow, just knew everything about everyone and copied everything about everyone and yet produced the greatest work of arabic prose and linguistic in all recorded history while at it.

Like really, just think for a second, every accusation put together paints this picture: Muhammad knew about Greek tradition, Roman tradition, Persian tradition, Ancient Egyptian tradition and history, he knew about mummification, he knew about Gnostic Gospels, about church fathers debates and discussions around the nature of Jesus, he knew about very rare, obscure things in christian and jewish texts that pretty much only scholars would have acces to, he knew about ancient mesopotamian trinity of celestial bodies as gods using the correct arabic word to differentiate between a planet (Venus) and a star (the Sun), he never copied none of the Bible's historical mistakes like in story of Joseph, and so on.
