Graham Priest's Dialetheism vs. Hegelian Contradiction

Contemporary logicians have deeply problematised classical logic notions such as Aristotle's law of non-contradiction, especially in light of the Kantian antinomies and the myriad paradoxes that were discovered in foundational fields like mathematics and physics in the 20th century. Prof Graham Priest has put forward dialetheism and paraconsistent logic to deal with such contradictions. And yet, Prof Todd McGowan contends for the Hegelian position that contradiction is insurmountable as it is ontological.

I really love how you have these little taste test samples so I can decide if I want to do the whole interview. You're doing a great job repping Australia on philosophy tube, which I think is a really important space!

edit: also this guy looks like Henry Rollin's skinny little brother.

Chaotically arranged
piles of profundity,
strewn about haphazardly.
Many standing unattended,
weathered beyond recognition.
Long ago forgotten,
passing through time.
Just waiting...
for some random somebody
to stumble upon them
and dig through their contents
to make it all makes sense.
Rediscovering their old secrets
all over again.
But, for best results
please pay someone...
They will pretend to guide you.
Such is life.
Left to your own devices,
unless you aren't.
Such is life.
So, have a drink... or don't.
What do I care.
