At so many eurovision songs I only realize how awsome they are when the show is long over.

How this didn’t win is beyond me. It’s one of the best entries of all time.

Alexander Rybak's (winner of 2009 Eurovision) opinion of Dami Im's Eurovision performance:

*JURY WINNER: This is hands down the best voice I've ever heard in Eurovision. And since there was no clear winner song this year, I can understand why the jury went for this one. I'm just so happy that when new countries are getting invited to participate in Eurovision, they give their best! Thank you, Australia!!!*

I remember all the comments when this came out about there is no way she could sound this good Well, she made it sound even better by doing that "Dami Thing" to it.

To those who question her position in Eurovision - Australia has been televising the competition for 30 odd years and we have many people from Europe who live here. We are a multicultural nation. My grandfather was in the womb on the ship coming out to Australia from Scotland in the early 1900's. I am proud to be of Scottish heritage and proud to be Australian. Many congrats to Dami! Being second in such a prestigious competition is a testament to her talent. Frankly she should have won. Her vocal and performance talent is undeniable.

She was SO robbed of that victory 🤦‍♀️

Seriously - You can argue all you want about Australia being in the EUROVISION in the first place but.. Nobody can claim she shouldn't have won. She was a POWERHOUSE if I ever saw one 💪 and competition was MILES away.
Everything about the performance was just beautiful 😊
Australia should have won - The end!

Greetings from Denmark ❤

A review of Dami's performance tonight for the jury:

Australia: Dami Im – Sound of silence

The biggest applause from the crowd and the press goes to Dami Im, providing a touching performance sitting on a huge box and playing with on-screen projected devices, transmitting the message of being alone in the days where we are all connected digitally. It is a simple performance but the vocal abilities of Dami Im shakes the Globe Arena and goes over everything. Possible winner for this semifinal.

That white dress shows a brilliant modesty whilst still looking utterly graceful. Something quite unseen in modern music! Such talent!

can we all agree she was the true winner of eurovision 2016?

I won't lie, at first I was bitter about the return of Australia at a European competition, but then I heard this entry and my mind changed completely! I love her voice and I may even vote for Australia along with France and Poland.
Love from the UK :)

Australia takes it even more seriously than most of European countries, they deserve their participation. They contribute to a better contest and the rest of the countries should compete at the same level instead of complaining.
