You're right. PSSR is broken on frame rate and ray tracing. Just booted it up, and I had to turn PSSR off. Hopefully, they will fix it soon!

The combination of the Pro's power, combined with PSVR 2 makes GT7 the absolute best sim racing experience you can get.

After more testing. I believe they specifically downgraded the car visuals to a lower resolution. If you look closely you will see all car models on track has dull look and you can see noisy distortion used to hide pixelated appearance

GT7 gets a nice image quality boost over the base PS5 if you enable PSSR and disable ray tracing.

I have 43 inch Sony Bravia 120hz and it looked a lot better than before that’s crazy it actually looks amazing thats crazy you think it looks worse need to get them glasses checked

The best thing they can do to GT7 on both platforms is: in 120hz mode, don’t motion blur the road surface itself, and give us the ‘above helmet’ view for all Formula racing cars, same as the replay cam. It makes a massive difference to sense of speed and a better camera angle to race in. With the wobble included. Much much more thrilling

Ray-tracing in gameplay is expensive, so they had to balance it with a lower resolution, lower resolution causes aliasing/shimmering on sub-pixel objects like the pole lines in the distance. The image quality in Resolution mode with no RT absolutely trounces on the PS5 version in gameplay when it comes to image quality.

Why would anyone buy a pro at this point, playstation doesn't even have enough games for ps5 to make it worth it and for the price you could get into a pc and enjoy hundreds of titles

I bought ps5 pro for gt7 psvr2 and the differnce ist there. Intestes it today on gt7 but it is a very very small upgrade. Reprojection ist still there, no matter what vr mode (i dont see a difference between vr mode turned on or off) and the Resolution doesnt seem to be really higher too. Im a little bit dissapointed :( its defintly not worth the money

I agree I prefer the extra options they give us turned off. It's crisper and looks great. Not too fussed about a slight bit of extra mood lighting at the cost of the less crisp look.

So far only watched the first 4 ½ minutes, and love your exploring with sharing un edited first impressions! Yes, paused here to now go try out on my PS5 PRO the new VR setting you showed. Thank you Thank you, now one question. When i set mine up I went with the higher frame rate. I Also have an 8K 📺, but in PSVR don’t think that will matter, will now have to try both ways with and without using the VR in the same example you showed. Thx Kireth 😊

The first thikg to note is that almost all modes are pushing 120fps. Enable framerate - no PSSR is full lock 120 fps. The lowest framerate is enable resolution, ray tracing + PSSR. This can drop to 90 fps at times, but it is the only one with ray tracing active. The two modes which are best are enable resolution, ray tracing + PSSR either off or on. First gives you sharpest image and the second one actuallybrings the raytraced surfaces and shadows. I think the PSSR is fantastic for natural, 3d image
