Illinois’ Eviction Moratorium Expires

After more than 18 months, Illinois’ eviction moratorium expired Sunday. With the ban over, thousands of renters could be facing eviction.

Instead of the city spending money on lawyers, why don't they just pay peoples rent. I would bet there is not that many illegal evictions, I would say most are from rent arrears. Eventually the tenant has to pay or get out.

What did people do before the Pandemic When it go tuff? They got taken in by shelters and worked a job or 2 to get the money to find another place. Don't act like you don't know.

Chicago has a population of 2.7 million and the size is 227 miles witch is several times bigger than Manhattan that has a population of 8 million not including tourist therefor Chicago should not be having a homeless crises.
