QUIET your Onewheel! Ceramic Bearing Replacement Highlights

Replaced the bearings in the Onewheel with the new ones from Burris racing. MUCH quieter and it wasn't too mad of a job. You need metric and SAE allen hex wrenches (hub motor is metric), board is SAE. Also need a 36mm socket or something near that diameter to press the bearings in, and a smaller socket to press the old ones out.

Aw man, I hose off and leave mine in the drying cupboard after every session at my local beach, I should probably get some oil in there soon. I've actually just fitted my Burris treaded and I'm feeling it. I added some fresh blue thread-lock to those 5 tiny cable bracket bolt/screw's and spun a couple rounds of plumbers PTFE tape around the 4 wheel mounting bolts. Do you follow suit with these procedures or just do the tighten up checks every so often?

Also I had trouble getting my other Burris tyre bead to seat. After cowering under the work bench and taking my new tyre up to a presumably sketchy 65psi and still not getting the bead to pop on (using dish soapy water) I realised that the round electric cord of my extension cable was thinner than the inner rim.
So with this extension cord (not plugged in obviously) I slotted it in and round the half side of the tyre that the bead was further up on, then bingo this kept the tyre's bead more level letting the stubborn/stuck side move (at only 30psi). With the soapy water peeling the electrical cabe back out was super easy and then the seal pop finish slid up (now evenly) and at even less pressure 30psi. I reckon this is the best method for anybody experiencing this problem, and you could probably manage it by hand pump this way too.

My bearing was just like yours. I wonder why FM uses low quality bearings.

I just put the Burris ceramics in and also after cleaning things up, a light coat of 3 in 1 electric motor oil & silky

The ceramic bearings won't rust but won't the metal around it still

What is that static noise it’s making? Mine does the same and it’s freaking me out lol
