Step into the punch is excellent advice, but also turn the hips into the punch, especially on the right hand off back leg.

I love this channel. Tony Jeffries has put a lot of work into it and is giving out plenty of good - and free - advice. I used to do a bit of boxing back in the day. I’m a bit old for sparring now, but Tony has inspired me to get back onto the bag and throw some combinations to keep myself fit.

Jab and then followup with a left hook. You can slip after the jab and counter. Works great on southpaws

Hey Tony, I'm an auld gezer from Edinburgh stuck on Mallorca since the BS began! I've always been into fitness and I am very keen cyclist, but thanks to you, I now do boxing, I only have a heavy bag but I just love it, It ticks all the boxes that cycling up mountains all day does for me..I find I have a natural ability for this actually! Fitness wise, I can go forever on the heavy bag and I think I'm throwing as hard a punch as i could! I did 2 hours today on my roof on the heavy bag, my hands ache now!! But I LOVE IT! I wish I had done it in my youth! I truly do! u r so right about it being an allover body workout!! If truth be known, I've never got as much a buzz out of any sport as this! ifonly I could live again!!! keep up the coaching tips!! love it, peace and love from Mallorca!

Is it okay if your right foot moves forward a bit? Instead of staying stationary

Tony, is this particular 2 punch combination a jab followed up by a left hook to the head ?

If it is, assuming that you put enough weight behind it and you rotate your hips enough to ensure the punches are packed with sufficient power, is this particular combo capable of knocking out almost any guy in a streetfight ? Some guys are big, size still matters in a streetfight, so would this still be considered effective in knocking out a bigger guy in a streetfight ?

Also, Is stepping into the punches absolutely necessary to increase the power of the punches thrown, or is hip rotation alone enough to deliver the power needed to knock the guy out, or at the very least knock him down ? (Assuming you are in range to land this 2 punch combination on the guy that you're fighting on the street )

can anyone explain - he steps in with the left punch but he isn’t stepping in with the right so is the right less powerful cos surely it doesn’t have the body weight behind it cos he’s not moving forward?
