Best motorcycle song, good lyrics. Good material for Del and the boys.

I used to be a biker, and my lifestyle had a criminal element, but I was raised on bluegrass, this version of this song always brings a tear to my eye at the end, on his death bed he gave her the most important thing in his life...his motorcycle, that’s true love right there, and Del does this song best in my opinion.

Dad listened to literally all genres of music, but this was one of his top five favorite songs of all time. RIP Rocky Mankins. 11/21/55 - 05/29/2017.

I love these guys so much! Del’s wife was really nice to us, too, when we got to meet them post-show. They gave us a signed copy of their gospel album for my grandparents and Del wrote a little note to them about growing older.

I've seen Del and the boys numerous times, they're bluegrass and they play all kinds of songs, they do a Beatles song too, this particular song is one of my favorites by Del, never gets old.

Wow what a beautiful love story. I grew up in Tennessee my dad loved blue grass. He is gone now but he lives on through the music he loved. Love you dad and miss you. Rest in peace. NJC

Nice crossover between American roots-music and UK folk-rock. They share a common ancestor -- the ballads and laments of the rural-English and Scots-Irish peoples.
Thanks for posting this!

Boy this Del guy is a real up-and-comer. If he keeps this up he will really turn into something someday.

Saw the McCourys at the Capitol in Portchester, NY on 12/21. Renewed my faith and restored my love of Bluegrass. There are none better.

Saw you guys sing this, live, and loved it.  I'm a classic motorcycle guy and this was right up my alley.  This is a classic song that will live forever.  Sang it karaoke on many occasions.  Thank you for that opportunity.  Del and the boys are keeping real country music alive.  I changed it to "HARLEYS and Indians and Greeves just won't do", one night.  Almost got me killed.  Them Harley guys didn't want to hear this.  LOL

Sure, I love some electronic music and some hip hop, and some of my favorite artists lie in those categories, but god damn do I love bluegrass music. I will never understand how someone could like music, but not bluegrass, it is the soul that lies at the core of every genre of music.

Wow! This is a fine companion to Richard Thompson's original version. You've got to hear both to really love this song.

.. just saw Del & the boys on Valentines Day and when I requested this song he said, "you want to hear that motorcycle song" and was sure to give credit to Richard then, performed the song beautifully.

I once heard Richard Thompson do this song live. As you would expect, it was excellent but The Del McCoury Band's cover is perfection.
