Yo, you gotta do a in depth walkthrough for Worship Leader School. I know I personally like logic over Ableton…..

I have been waiting for this video!! Finally, Logic Pro X

finally logic pro.. waiting for your next trick.. 👍👍
Anyway, i always "create track" for all buses so i can put them next to the channel source, so i dont need to go to the right on the mixer view..

Yeah congregation mics are amazzzing. Great mix! It’ll also allow you to use less processed reverb and makes things sound even more natural. Awesome job and great tut!

Because I'm using Logic for a while, I recommend you switch the folder stacks to summing stacks. Summing stacks gives you all the benefits of a channel track (parallel comp and more). Also, you can minimize your tracks in folders like folder stacks. Very nice job by the way.

I was so waiting for this!!! When I saw your original video from the new church. I was stoked that you were using logic. I’ve taken the worship mix and master course but abelton is just not as easy as logic is for me!!!!

Hoping you guys add this to that course for in depth course

Great information, thanks for posting this video. Another good idea that I was taught years ago with Logic is to place a Gain control at the top of each channel to adjust loud signals and have the option to switch the phase as well. 🙂🇨🇦

I recommend the limit mode on the la2a. Sounds great. Cut 525 and 3.2k on the acoustic. It’ll help you some.

Tip: what i find works well for drumset is breaking up your drum groups. Like have a buss for your kick and snare, a buss for your toms, and a buss the things made of metal (cymbals). Each of those busses get some compression and those are routed to a main drum buss with light compression. Then you can send that to a parellel drum crush buss.

Since phone speakers don’t reflect low frequencies too well its a good idea to add a bus send for the bass with some clean distortion on it. Just route the output of the bus to the rest of the band. I implemented this and it works phenomenally. The base is still clean but you can hear it clearly on the phone making the mix sound fuller even on phone speakers.

Just a note for organization and simplifying your track count: Your L and R tracks (like keys and multitracks) can be combined into a stereo track. Just make sure your L track is on an odd input number, click the little circle symbol on the track input button, then select your channel pair (eg Input 7-8) and voila, one less channel and no need to pan left and right :)

Sounds great! Ya crowd mics was gonna be my only suggestion.

Waves' H-Delay has an internal tempo setting which can be set independently from the host tempo. It even has a tap tempo button.

Hey!

Thanks for this video - and all of the other videos you make to help us improve the worship experience for our churches.

I recently shifted to using logic to mix our stream.

Current setup:

X32 > Logic (Apollo Twin) > ATEM Mini Pro > ProPresenter > Restream > Facebook/Youtube.

I said all of that to ask you if you have any thoughts on latency or video/audio sync issues. The video is coming in SEVERAL frames before the audio.

I’ve been scouring YouTube for tips on how to fix this!

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Tracy

in this case the acoustic is not so important in the mix, however if it is a key element in your mix and sounds like this DI'd acoustic, i highly recommend buying a worship tutorials acoustic IR pack for $15 and loading it into logic's stock reverb. there are some useable freebies out there as well.

I like it, it’s pretty simple but sounds great! You have great musicians too!

Great video!
You can use an eq to define your toms, and use a gate/expander to lower the spills and then trigger. You can even use the mix know (Trigger2 ) to blend the wet and dry signal.

Otherwise you hear for ex tom triggering every snare hit

Thanks for the video. I have some questions please
1. How do I route my master to another system via Dante?
2. How do I configure the solo button? I noticed channels routed to buses don't sound when on solo, only channels routed to stereo output will sound out.

Thanks

Thank you for the video! This video is super useful for our church to mix live worship!  One little question, you added a gain for bass as it does not have enought signal gain in Logic Pro, what level of gain you usually set for instrument and vocals when they enter Logic Pro? How much db is "enough" for logic pro to process the sound?

Hope you will answer my quesiton :)

I wish there was a way where I can leave the live stream unattended and have the mics sound good across the board
