Japan scrambles fighter jet after Russia sends nuclear bombers over disputed islands | Watch

Russia flew two strategic bombers capable of carrying nuclear warheads near Japan. The two bombers carried out routine patrol flights over the sea of Okhotsk and the Bering sea, Moscow has said. Japan's defence ministry later said in a statement that it had scrambled a jet fighter in response to Russian information-gathering aircraft over the sea of Japan. Tokyo lodged a protest with Russia over its drills around disputed islands near japan's Hokkaido. Watch the video for more details.

Kurils was a cheesy strategic land-grab but so was Guam. If Japanese are so scared of getting A-bombed again they might scramble fighters every time a US successor to the Enola Gay flies out of Guam over Japan, as a flex. Like, get real.
