Agree. Very likely we r headed for a decade long bear market in all western assets. It will be a period of geopolitical n currency changes. Within US this is the chance to do the long-needed economic n social n government reforms. If we succeed, US will be on a long-term sustainable growth path in a decade. But we must take the pain 1st n do the adjustments. From investing pov, sell all US, European equities n bonds. Go long Gold and Crypto. Go long emerging market I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 732k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Aria Cookings, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

Owners equivalent rent is a survey that asks homeowners what they believe they could get to rent their home . Very inaccurate measure. Homeowners don’t know this yet the cpi measures what they say - it tends to very much understate thus inflation in high rent periods was not factoring into the cpi accurately. You guys point to ziillow or apartments . CPI does not actually measure true rent growth from these sites. Also to say you see negative rent on Zillow does not factor in already increased rent nor does it reflect national stats. You guys need to look more into how cpi is calculated and true inflation.

Auto loan delinquencies have indeed been on the rise over the past 34 months. As of Q2 2024, the delinquency rate for auto loans that are 90 or more days past due is 4.43%¹. This is a significant increase from the 3.82% rate observed in Q2 2023¹.

To put this into context, the delinquency rate was at a relatively low point in early 2021, around 4.35% in Q2 2021¹. The rate had been decreasing from a high of over 5% in early 2020¹, which was influenced by the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Historically, the delinquency rate has fluctuated, but the current rate of 4.43% is higher than the long-term average.
