You know what? I'm VERY sceptical of every unsolved mystery out there and I think they all have a mundane explanation...except for this one. This is the only occasion where I have been fully convinced that the only answer is something far beyond humanity. We are not alone.

I must say, I really love where this channel is going. Fictional internet horror stories are great and all, but I love how there is now a good mixture of unsolved mysteries, urban legend profiles, true stories from reddit, and stuff like that. It makes for a good variety and keeps things interesting.

The source of the signal was about 220 lightyears away. If we assume that an advanced species lived on a world there, its fair to assume that like ours its orbitting a star, and rotating. And of course, the galaxy is rotating as well. So any signal sent would only be in the precise location needed for us to hear it for an extremely brief amount of time.

So a signal from an intelligent species would look to use like silence, followed by a sudden spike, and then silence again.

Heres my theory. because everything in space is moving, perhaps it was a directed signal in a certain direction in space, and earth just happened to pass it for a few minutes?
Remember our solar system itself is hurling through space atm.

there is a theory(i doubt its the case)that the reason that space is so quiet is because its inhabitants are hiding from something similar to how in a forest when a predator is near everything shuts up

There is so much that we really know about space yet that instantly jumping to aliens seems like a bit of a stretch. I wouldn't be surprised to find alien life with so many planets out there, but it just seems like a huge leap to assume that it was a signal, especially if it could only be detected once for a short amount of time.
