SEC Shorts - SEC holds auditions

It's been a crazy few weeks in conference expansion and contraction and the SEC is not one to get left behind. They hold open auditions for teams to show up and see if they have what it takes to become SEC material.

So great to see a new SEC Short in summer. Always love humanize the schools. Like SCAR not wanting Clemson, and A&M "how does it feel?" and the like button. 😂 Can't wait for the new seasons (CFB & SEC-S).

1899 Sewanee went 12 - 0. They won 11 of the games by shutout. Their wins included shutouts over Texas, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Georgia, and LSU. They squeaked by Auburn 11 - 10.

I loved the bit with Sewanee!

The Sewanee bit could've included a reference to the 5 games in 6 days from 1899. After all, 3 (soon to be 4) of those games were against SEC teams. And they beat Auburn, Georgia, and Tennessee that year too.

Missouri was a hoot. It would been fun watching Duke trying to convince SEC based on basketball teams after Vanderbilt buzzed them just to have Kentucky jump in with the buzzer! ;)
