When Malcolm is arguing with Hammond about people dying in Jurassic Park, he tells him that he’s downplaying the deaths of “three people.” There were actually four people who died in the original movie, but Malcolm doesn’t know about the fourth, Dennis Nedry, since no one knows what happened to him.

Actually they did know about Nedry’s death, however because it became relatively known that he was responsible for knocking out the power and causing Jurassic Park’s fall in the first place AND the corporate espionage on behalf of Biosyn: They didn’t give a shit about him. The deleted boardroom scene practically confirmed this as there was no money settlement mentioned for Nedry apart from Muldoon, Gennaro, and Ray’s deaths.

Yeah I commented about this in another video and it’s quite interesting that nobody took count of the people missing only those confirmed dead by the survivors, so the company that contracted Nedry or InGen might have swept it under the rug

Actually, 5 people died. Ray Arnold, Dennis Nedry, Don Gennaro, Rob Muldoon, and the man transferring the velociraptor in the first 2 minutes of the movie. The reason for the investigation on the first place.

Nedry’s death was confirmed in the novel universe. In fact, a couple characters found his corpse the morning after he was killed, then covered in compies.
