I meant to clarify that the #eggmist is a mix of hard water impurities and tiny bits of egg. Using purified water does mostly eliminate that problem!

Good review, James. Frequently, soft cooked eggs are served in a egg stand, the pointy end is cracked and removed, and the egg eaten from the shell with a spoon. (Like anyone cares, right?)

Man how many egg related products are there!?

You didn’t test the omelet making portion of it! I was most looking forward to how that would perform

I have the older version of this, before it became the Copper Chef. It cooks up to 7 eggs at once in addition to the poached, it makes a nice omelet. I use 2 or 3 eggs for the omelet. Comes out nicely. My water has a high mineral content and that leaves a residue after the water boils away. Bar Keeper's Friend cleans this out well. I purchased several of these for gift-giving, kids going away to college, newly-weds, etc. I like it for making deviled eggs for picnics. If you break the eggshell at the large end, the egg will be far easier to peel. Once you find the membrane, the shell will come off in practically one piece. For what it is, I'm pleased with it, sure beats timing a pot-full of boiling water!

Really enjoy your videos, keep on don't what you're doing, you're appreciated by so many!

I have a similar unit, different brand and I love it. When you have the residue on the bottom just pour some vinegar on it. You can use an old toothbrush if you need to scrub and it comes right off. Thanks for your reviews.

I have my Grandmother's Egg cooker. It does the same thing this does. It's from the 1950's and still going strong. Great video. 🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚

This guy is pretty smart! Most people don't know you're not supposed to put egg shells down the disposal (he collected them in his hand) because they grind into a powder that mixes with water and turns into egg-cement in your disposal. #eggmist #eggcement

My family knows how much I love making deviled eggs, but also know how much I hate cooking/peeling them. I could never get the timing right, and would decimate the eggs while peeling them. They got this for me this past Christmas, and I had perfectly cooked, easily peeled eggs for deviling on New Year's Eve. One of the best gifts I've received.

Oh and tip on how to un peal an egg. Role it between your hands till the whole shell cracks and then you can put in a bowl of water and it should come off extremely easy

I think it's fair to note that this device is safer and children can use it much easier. They never have to come in contact with boiling water, splashing, carrying a heavy pot, getting the eggs out of very hot water, etc.

I'm not "eggthusiastic" about this product. I think it is just as easy to boil the eggs, put them in ice-water when done, and peel from the round part (breaking the shell with the thin membrane) This makes them peel easily. Some times I think we are over gadgetized.

WOW! This would come in handy for hard boiling eggs to color at Easter. The evil alien eyeball has got to be your best description yet. :) Love your reviews.

Hello. First I must say that I absolutely love my egg cooker which is similar to your but only cooks 6 eggs. I haven't "water boiled" eggs for over 10 years. There is always little calcium or whatever left over on the burner but I spray it with vinegar/water solution when it's still warm & let it sit for few minutes & it will wipe off very easily. Also mine has a option to use a alarm when it's done. So mine sure get my love 💗. Thanks 👍😀

I think the reason it takes a while before it starts is to heat up the water as that's the primary heating source, getting that steamy enough to cook the eggs. I feel like, this is definetly better than making eggs normally as to cook eggs, youd need a pot for the eggs which cost money, and the more eggs, the bigger the pot. Id believe this gadget is much cheaper to buy and with this gadget, youd save tons of water because you need quite a lot of water to ecompass 14 eggs, with this gadget, you just need a cup or so.

Got this product because of your review and also because my stove's nobs are all broken and the complex STILL have not come to fix them. Amazing product even though it is just for eggs but very happy it was available . Used it only once so far but it will be used ALOT because my daughter loves hard boiled eggs. Thank you for the review & hope you continue. I'll always watch!!!

I have been peeling my hard boiled eggs under running water for many, many years. That helps get under the thin membrane and makes them much easier to peel. The Red Copper people didn't invent that idea, but it was very helpful of them to share it.

I have a different brand of egg cooker that only does up to 7 eggs, with a shrill scream when it's done, and would only consider the Red Copper one if I made a lot of deviled eggs often. To be fair, as someone else mentioned, it's not really terribly difficult to make them the old fashioned way in a pot of water, but I love my egg cooker. We have the issue with hard water residue, but a soak with vinegar gets it cleaned off pretty well. Looks like another Red Copper product that works pretty well.

As always, thanks so much for your review! If my other egg cooker dies, I may very well buy this one, as I don't HAVE to cook 14 eggs if I don't need that many.
