We introduce the key Principles of Human Factors and signpost to more detailed information from a High Reliability/Major Accident Hazard organisation perspective.

Research has shown that we, individually and collectively, are more resilient than many would think.

An 'emerging' Organisational Safety maturity perspective is that front-line workers are the cause of incidents and they need to be 'fixed' as they take short-cuts and hide System problems for "an easy life."

Safety mature Leaders recognise the resilience power of their workforce and develop integrated Business Management Systems to support this belief of 'Human as a Hero' that adjusts, compensates and recovers in the face of adversity.
