I told my Lego reselling friend in April, that I was hesitant to go deep on any retiring 2024 Star Wars sets with this years May 4 promos, because I felt like within a week of it being done, Lego would update the Star Wars retirement list, which is exactly what happened. Most of these sets went on backorder immediately at Lego on May 1, which is normally not the case for older sets, but for those that don't think resellers affect Lego's way of thinking, this huge selloff of supposedly retiring Star Wars sets, & immediate subsequent retirement change announcement, is proof that Lego very much manipulates, & knows the profits that resellers help bring in.

I have nothing kind to say about Lego rn. That was and is a dirty practice of Lego to promote sets they KNOW we think are retiring when they KNOW they aren’t retiring.

I think the Indiana Jones Temple of the Golden Idol is being slept on - retires in December and is probably gonna rocket in price

They 100% changed the date after the May the 4th day. I am really disappointed in the Super Star Destroyer. But, that is because I started buying those way too early. But, happy to hear about the Parrots art - very curious to see how those do

Out of context but can you please show us your full lego stock and the background. I’m super curious of what you got all back there…

We knew they would pull the ghost off the retirement list....a cheap trick by lego

Fortunately i didn't go deep on investing because of what just happended, so I just bought 2 Phantom and Ghost and I'll do like what you said : sell them soon for little profit, as I don't want my money tight for too long

I was surprised the SSD set was retiring so soon considering its popularity and the new midi scale sets. Then agian hard to predict before the new sets released. Speaking of, Im so baffled as to why they retire these May 4th SW brickheadz sets so quickly. Brickheadz do pretty well in sales and to have a whole set of them really appeals to those who like bulk purchasing and buying sets with displayability like a themed set. Also surprised and not surprised on the Darth Vader helmet. Out of all the helmets its the most popular, its Vader lol. I do think they retired the Empire Helmets too soon. Out of all of the helmets in that line not counting Boba Fetts it was a joy to collect them. I really thought with the Commander Cody and Rex helmets we were gonna get a few more clone wars era helmets and maybe even a Battle Droid head haha

Always appreciated Brian!! 😊 at least the gwps still made it lucrative. I wonder if they will try and throw investors off by retiring any sets that show end of 25' retirement date at end of 24' without warning. 🤔

that's a nice news, I bought Mos Eisley Cantina for May 4th, and regret to not add the Ghost and the Gunship, it will be done in 2025 !

Could you indicate why you 'liquidated' the sets that received postponement? Probably resale value on them is currently not great because lots of people got them for May the 4th. How is it a good strategy to not let them sit for another year?

71817 is one of my best sells, like 30 a month, yesterday I sold my last one for 34$, 8$ profit and people buy it like crazy, resellers are almost out of it (there are still some for 37-38). Im definitely gonna buy a lot this year

Still, I think the AT-AT would deserve another year in the shelves... It is difficult to understand if I should take the AT-AT, Cantina or the Razor Crest...very hard decision.
