An Actuary

An actuary is someone who uses math to help people and businesses manage risk. They use data and statistics to figure out how likely something is to happen, and then help their clients make smart decisions based on that information.

For example, an actuary might help an insurance company figure out how much they should charge people for car insurance based on how likely they are to get into an accident. They might also help a company decide how much money they need to set aside for employee retirement benefits.
