I am a first time user of iMovie and was able to create the perfect video of my grandson after watching David's tutorial. Thank you David - well done!

I have wasted two days of watching other videos that taught me nothing.  Thank you so much for explaining iMovie so throughly.  Can't wait to get started and tune in to more of your tutorials.

Great video David!! I'm a little puzzled about iDVD though. My MacBook Pro, OS X 10.8, included iMovie '09, which did not have iDVD listed in the Share menu and I needed it for a project. After researching this online, I found that iLife '09 included it, so I bought/installed it and now it's available. Yippee!

You mentioned that iDVD came on your computer, so I wonder why you had an app that's suppose to be unsupported by Apple, which is a crying shame?! iDVD isn't even listed as being included in iLife '11 or I'd have purchased a more recent package. It's sad that many apple users are being forced to buy a much more expensive Mac app or one from a different vendor in order to burn an iMovie project to disk.

Holy moley iMovie has come a long way since 2013. This video auto-played for me after I watched a current iMovie tutorial. Maybe that YouTube algorithm needs some work.

Hello David,

Thank you for this great tutorial.

I have a question, how do I create a "movie" without transition? Basically have it appear as if everything was done in one shot?

Hello there, thanks for a wonderful class, was very helpful
i have an iMovie 9.0.9 on sierra 10.12 MacBook Pro 13inch mid 2012, first; i can not see the video playback toolbar on top right above the playback video panel, second; after adding the video clip on project library, i can not add logo png graphic on top or above the movie clip as overlay, but when i am dragging the png graphic file, it prompts to add in the beginning of the clip, can you help as how i can add on top of the video clip, thanks

Great tutorial but the music while you pan through the clips is just majorly annoying.
