The reason people are disgusted enough to cancel Jermell is because he bragged proudly about brutally hitting a woman and then suggested she was weak because she called the cops on him. The mindset he expressed about his attack is what makes him different and worse than other perpetrators mentioned. I would accept if Jermell made an apology but only after he did many hours of hands on community service in some way in support of organizations that fight violence against women, and if he got professional help for his mental health.
