This early-morning session offers an overview of what HBase is, how it works, its API, and considerations for using HBase as part of a Big Data solution. It will be helpful for people who are new to HBase, and also serve as a refresher for those who may need one.

a year ago, as an Intern, the first time I know Hbase, just go through Big Query table paper and Hbase docs and nothing left in my head, today just 30m of this video go straight ahead, and I can confident know what it is and how to use it.
What makes different that no one tell me is: what philosophy that a person use HBase should be, rather than a traditional RDB.

Amazing! Simple, straight and perfectly explained. Sometimes you don't need more than static images if they are simply well designed and the knowledge that is trying to be conveyed through them is so perfectly aligned with them.

Great quick intro! Annoying to hear all the people talking in the background without any sense of respect for the speaker.

yeah, working with HBase as a RDBMS is painful, people that have made this mistake should have really done more research before

Too high level about the principles. To me there are only 5 minutes' useful content.
