Off-topic but just wanted to say you're lighting and camera-work is looking great! It looks like you're putting just as much work into the quality of your videos as you have with your bodybuilding and it shows

You nailed it. It comes down to the lifter needs to learn how to listen to their body and observe how they react to the loads they are lifting specifically for intensity. This is in my opinion an essential skill you need to become intermediate lifter and continue gaining

I turned 45 last march, and have noticed that over the years things have to be dialed in much more precisely as far as my volume/frequency/intensity ratios are concerned. Recovery just isn't there anymore. Definitely have to work smarter, not harder these days. Getting old sucks.

Mountain, greetings from Australia.
My shoulders and lower back, not great but still able to train. Have been incorporating your partial rep scheme, WOW just WOW, love the content ❤

I just want to thank you Mountain.
You helped me make working out fun again. I learned to get rid of the dogma and create my own rules for what feels good for my body. I'm feeling lumpy and bumpy and pumped up. Working out no longer feels like a chore. I truly enjoy it,
and the results are amazing.
P.s these partials are feeling good and getting it done!

Love your emphasis on awareness, experiment, actual muscle results, play, feel, and listening to your body. Thanks Jason. You've been to the top and won it all - so thanks for sharing your knowledge and experiences with us. It's quite enabling. Take care.

Jason, I gained an inch on my arms instantly just by wearing your Gallantians shirt, true story, verified by the Dutch Federation of Housewives. Thought I'd help you out with your branding. Warm greetings from The Netherlands.

great message and love the Rock Gym commercial... also really digging the 80s vibe synth backing tracks, reminds me of Stranger Things! 😂

you have a good advice here. intensity is an important variable indeed. many people tell only sets now, given a good intensity (around 80% i would say) it is very possible to do progressive overload application to a program. and after the target volume is reached, intensity should increase again, and so on. mountain!

I couldn't imagine holding myself to a certain number of reps/sets or a certain total weight per week. We all have weak days & strong days, why not listen to your body and just do the best you can at each opportunity?

I once saw a guy asking in an addiction recovery channel on YouTube if he should smoke cigarettes. There are some very stupid questions out there 😆

I always remember reading somewhere back in the 90s that volume simply means reps + load + sets which I guess is a simple way of looking at it as in you have to take all three into consideration

I have to know, are you Algonquin? Love your videos and have been pondering this for years. If so, you have an angle to really sell the “Natural rock gym”. Native Algonquin workout routine using nature.

The rock gym is no joke, the before and after pictures on his website of people who have trained there tells the story, great price as well, I need to get started!

Rock Gym is the best gym! LOL. Yep, the TikTok brain rot is real and it's seeped into the lifting community as well. Mountain!
