Doughnut Economics Learning Journeys Kick Off - Alastair Parvin

Показать описание
Alastair Parvin of Open Systems Lab discusses taking principles and applying them to every day projects. Alongside a discussion of structures of power, Alastair explains the origins of the WikiHouse project, the design of an open-source, distributed system which can enable building materials to be manufactured quickly and cheaply in decentralised hubs; a perfect example of the Doughnut Economics principle of being distributive by design.
This talk took place at the CIVIC SQUARE Pop-Up Sutdio in Ladywood on Sunday 13th February 2022 at the Doughnut Economics Peer-To-Peer Learning Journeys Kick Off weekend, which marked the start of a range of Learning Journeys for budding renegade economists interested in a peer-to-peer learning journey, going deeper into the ideas of Doughnut Economics at the scale of the household, street and neighbourhood to share practice, inspiration, ideas and tools for how we craft new economic possibilities that are regenerative and distributive by design in the commons.
