The majority of the goods from China to the US are made by US companies producing in China, who then ship their products back to the US, so imposing tariffs on goods produced by American companies in China doesn't hurt the Chinese government, China isn't paying the tariffs American manufacturers in China are.

It is unfortunate that tariffs are being used against Mexico because of Immigration. A part of me, also thinks that this trade war with China and Mexico (and potentially with Europe) is how the current Administration will raise the necessary revenue to tackle the growing US deficit, since the implementation of the corporate tax breaks of last year. Just a thought.

This is BS.... This will impact both economies. Mexico is bound by humanity rights and can not detain or question anyone during transit.
