So this one was supposed to be a quickie, but real life had other plans. It's a lot rougher than Comfort Zone both in terms of sound and visuals, and I'm sorry for that. At some point I just gave up on trying to make the lyrics comprehensible lmao

Really just wanted to get this small episode off my back, it was NOT meant to take over a year. I'll definitely try to make the next PV and song more polished. And I still hope you'll get some enjoyment out of this one!

I do find it funny how much edgy 2000s AMV energy it has. Fitting for Anya, I suppose.

NOTICE: The full version of Convergence was made by combining the downloadable instrumental and vocals with an MP3 of the song's older version that I had stupidly saved over. I can't post the combo version as an instrumental, as it still has audible untuned vocals from the older iteration. Don't worry, the downloadable version still sounds pretty much the same, but if you happen to spot some slight differences, you know why.

Yura has to be the best character in anything, ever, he's a piece of shit and I love him dearly and want the best in the world for him as long as he has to suffer profusely to get there. Best worst boy. Seeing his portrayal here has got to be one of my favourite things in the entire series so far.

Ever since Occam's Razor I knew Yura had something between hands, mostly for the "sacrificial lamb" line and as it seems he's turning into a character with a questionable moral, which I deeply enjoy

Plot twist: they're late to the rescue because KT is already terminated. Temnova advised the escape plan because Dima was going to be terminated if she didn't let him escape, this was because the research facilities were lacking funding and a lot of mutants had to be terminated. KT could have met that fate by the time Yura and his hostage team reach her.

I know I'm late and someone probably already mentioned this but when it says "all cards are on the table" it shows three cards with Olya, Yura, and Dima on them in that order. The bottom of Yura and Olya's cards show them in the outfit they wore when they first appeared while the top is their latest outfit (Olya with her outfit from "The Mill" and Yura with his scar).

Dima's card while looking like the same on the surface is sort of the opposite. Although the bottom is him in his jacket from his first appearance (Punch it, Punk) the top is him in his uniform from the facility (Comfort Zone) which chronologically happened before the events of "Punch it, Punk".

This might foreshadow Dima going full circle by heading back to the facility. The idea that "his story ends where it started". I imagine something goes wrong when breaking out Katya and Yura who doesn't care about Dima leaves him to be captured.

Or I might be reading too much into a minor detail. Could be either honestly.

I just relistened to 'KT's Guide to Happiness' and the lyrics "I only hope he won't lose sight of his own future, clear and bright" caught my attention because in this song 'Convergence' there's a line "The image of the future used to be unstable".

I don't know if that was intentional or not but I love it. It also breaks my heart, but I wasn't using that anyway...

Okay, this isn't as bad as I was fearing this would go. Yura gave them a chance to help without the blackmail first, and only resorted to it after a refusal. I also have a feeling he was so willing to target Olya because he's a bit upset that she robbed him of his "cathartic resolve" like he said before. He's displayed a lot of bitterness at her rescue of him.

I am still very nervous about this considering "LIKE A DOG", but... so far... it's not going quite as badly as I feared. But, well, actually going and rescuing KT is the dangerous part, isn't it? I... really don't hope Yura leaves Dima behind for KT, but it kind of looks like that's what's going to happen. :/

Also this was a banger like always! I really liked how messy and chaotic it sounded, like a real argument, but was still so pleasing to the ears.
