I would’ve gotten an awesome breakaway with my 126W FTP.

Cav looked so freaking aero. He shrinks down to pocket-size when he sprints

Must admit I'm finding it harder to distinguish riders in the overhead shots this year - too many teams with very similar dark blue/white tops - especially hard to distinguish Quickstep and Alpecin (Yes I know Phillpsen had the red jersey), or FDJ and Bike-Exchange. Had to watch the live coverage back a few times to be able to spot everyone in the last km. Shame the top sprinters aren't riding for the likes of EF or Jumbo Visma....

2:35 that should be penalized. It's really dangerous and there is no excuse. The dude has stopped pedaling and the road is 30 meters large. Even if it wasn't voluntary, it's dangerous

GOT to give Cav a shot at the Tour. He has shown he still has the legs and absolutely has the race craft!

Thanks for calling out Mullen. That is the stuff the UCI should be banning.

Loved the sprint slow mo. Both rides pushing the same gear with the legs in sync

If they don't send Cav to the Tour then I'd be interested to see how they'd explain that to the sponsors. Could hardly be a bigger draw in all of cycling at the moment, and it's for all the right racing reasons as well as the fantastic narrative

Kooij was blasting past the sprint field on the outside longer road to the line with headwind was great to see. Started sprinting at 350 meters to go

Nothing motivates me more to ride than watching the pros amble up a motorway in the desert.

I sat here watching as they closed in on finish line. For those that have seen all his big wins, since 4 stages at le Tour in '08, tears of joy came, He has done it again. Enjoy this folks, bc this is extremely special. Unlike almost all the guys/announcers that were shocked and admittedly never expected Mark to win again, I did. I never gave up hope/belief he'd be on podiums again. More than once, we waited long spells for a TDF stage win, years we waited as he alone won the biggest battles (with epstein-barr) etc. 2 wins in 2 weeks, age 36. Just like all aged Cav fans that have enjoyed the 'ride' from early on, we just hope he remains injury free, and has a shot at the finish line. Imagine if he could've been competitive in 17, 18, 19, and 2020. 2 stage wins, total. Cheers

It’ll be a tragedy if Cav doesn’t go to the tour and breaks Merckx’s record! Just do it Patrick!

To see him doing it again against the very best in the sport shows just how good he is and that last year was not a fluke

I'd love to see Cav back in the tour. They should make an extra team just for him. Let him battle it out against Jakobsen and the pack.
He is the best sprinter that ever rode on 2 wheels. So it's allowed to do something extra for him.

Cav was superb against a very strong field. This was more about outsmarting the other sprinters but yeah that power was 👌.

Interesting to see that the riders followed the curves of the lines on the road which were not parallel to the barriers. Seems like a lot of previous discussions about dangerous sprint moves analyze the straight lines in the road that are sometimes not parallel to the curved barriers. This race shows how much the riders follow the lines, given how their sprint position naturally forces them to look more at ground ahead than the barriers to the sides.
