So they titled a likely very mid scifi movie after one of the all time classic of the genre, and hope people are confused enough that they watch it anyway?

JHC, the original War of the Worlds is in public domain. A high quality story right there for the taking. Why didn't they spend money adopting that instead of whatever dumbness this is?
